"Gotta make it swang, I say gotta make it swang!"
The PleasureTones are a group of diverse musicians who play together for the sheer love of music. The band was formed in 2006 under the original name of Cell Block III, with core members singer, songwriter, and arranger Alex "Eliseo" Esquivel; Bassist Marc Campbell; and Tim Dill on Saxophone. Their original sound grooved the local circuit and corporate gigs as well as larger venues such as House of Blues and The Grove.
In 2009, the band added female vocalists Norma Rodriguez and Rachele Campbell creating sultry undertones to their already edgy sound. With this change brought a change of name and The PleasureTones emerged. In 2016 The PleasureTones added drummer Art Aroustamian and the line up was complete.
The jazz-blues-rock "don't put me in a box" music style of The PleasureTones has drawn a growing fan base with cool rhythmic originals and unique arrangements of some classic favorites.
